Description

Another book that lives on from the original publishing date in the 1940s, The Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking Training Manual was the original reference manual for students at the school starting in 1945. The Manual is on the list of required reading from the AWCI for the CW21 and CMW21 examinations. There are 16 training sections, general repair information, and reference index to American watches, including production date and number. So though the title references ‘Watchmaking’ only, realize that the bulk is dedicated to repair.

As background, and a great one at that, the Bulova School of Watchmaking was started by the Chairman of Bulova, and spearheaded by Stanley Simon as a way to repay the service of returning disabled veterans after World War II. The cornerstone of the school built for the servicemen in Gueens, New York, reads “To serve those who served us.”

The Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking Training Manual comes in hard cover and is 344 pages.
