However, keep in mind that The Theory of Horology is just that, a book on the principles of watchmaking theory. It isn’t a book that provides a description of how to repair or a service a watch, however, and is best used in conjunction with a class or other more practical texts.
The text may be too technical for beginners, and if you are looking for a step-by-step guide on how to repair a watch, this isn’t it. If, however, you are more interested in theory and design, and how it relates to construction, look no further.
